Birth preparation and planning

Welcome to bump to baby

The term 'Hypnobirthing' is a word which is commonly used to describe the application of hypnosis for achieving deep relaxation and an altered state of consciousness for labour and birth. This allows you to be in complete control of the natural process of birth, and allows your body to work progressively at its own pace.

The use of hypnosis for labour and birth has been proven to help with achieving a relaxed body which reduces pain sensations as labour progresses. The use of massage and distraction can help you to stay focussed on what your body and your baby needs throughout the birthing process. As your body remains relaxed, your mind will naturally focus inwards to help you to tune into your body as labour progesses which then produces the right hormones for  your uterus to work at an optimum level.

There are several options for you to consider when you are choosing a hypnobirthing course, first of all, you need to be sure of what course is right for you.

You will find a small selection of childbirth courses listed and describe which I am qualified to facilitate, and hold practitioner certificates for each course.
