Hypnosis for childbirth will help to prepare your mind and body of an easier,comfortable, calm labour and birth.
This course incorporates the use of hypnosis, NLP and basic childbirth education which teaches you everything you need to know so that you are fully prepared when the time comes for your baby to be born.
This course can either be taught in a group setting or on an individual basis, and would normally run over a 6 week period for approximately 60 minutes per session. Partners are welcome to attend, however it is not overly necessary as this course can easily be adapted to suit individual needs.
This course is also suitable for teen mums who wish to explore this method of giving birth using hypnosis.
You will learn easy techniques which are effective in helping you to go into deep relaxation just before labour becomes established, and your partner will learn how to help you during this wonderful time. Although you will be deeply relaxed,this course teaches you how you can move around and communicate during labour,so you have no worries of being unaware of your labour. You will learn how to focus your mind on working with your body and your baby,simply by tuning into your primal instincts.

You will gain a better understanding of labour and birth,plus you will have the benefit of applying hypnosis whenever you need it. You are gaining a skill which you can use for the rest of you life should you choose to use it.
Your baby will benefit from receiving more oxygen through your body relaxing,deep breathing and you have reduced levels of stress.Your mind will be free of excess 'clutter' and you will begin to think more positively not only about labour and birth,you will have a better Mindset altogether.

This six week course is offered at £150 per couple and includes all handouts, cd's for hypnosis practise,labour and birth.
I am able to accept payments in instalments and the full fee must be paid before commencement of the course.
I offer concessions to couples who are receipt of benefits or are on a low income, however-read on!
This course is also run free of charge on a Monday afternoon at the Sure Start Children's Centre, St David's Road, Kingsthorpe Northampton during the hours of 16.30-17.30.

This half day course is specially designed to provide valuable information which can help you to plan ahead and feel more prepared for when you go into labour. You will also learn what you can expect once your baby is born and you will be shown some basic baby care techniques with helpful advice on how you can respond to your baby's cries.
This course will prepare you for what would happen if your baby has not arrived on the estimated due date,prepare you for what happens at the hospital,also what happens if you choose to give birth at home. Alternative outcomes are also discussed should complications arise.
The aim of this course is to help make your labour and birth experience a positive one,and this can be achieved by informative preparation and planning for possible outcomes.
