Stopping smoking may sound like a daunting thought if you have been telling yourself how hard it can be to stop. This way of thinking is especially true if you have been smoking for a long time, and have attempted to stop using other methods. Hypnotherapy makes it easy for you to become a non smoker as smoking is a learned Behaviour, so if you can learn to smoke, you can learn to become a non smoker once again. After all, you weren't born a smoker were you?

 

How can smoking be a learned behaviour?

If you remember when you first started to smoke, you lit your first cigarette; you put it in your mouth, the taste, the smell, that burning sensation as the smoke hit the back of your throat and a tight feeling in your lungs, and then you coughed for a while afterwards with a bitter taste in your mouth. Sound familiar? It probably took you a few attempts to get used to inhaling the hot smoke, to get used to the taste, and if you started when you were young, how were you going to get your cigarettes? With persistent attempts to start smoking, there was a part of you in your subconscious mind that decided to make smoking easy for you as you believed that smoking fulfilled a need, and it was what you wanted to do. You soon began to recognise those triggers that told you to light up every so often, and so the habit was formed. You had learned to be a smoker. Of course,you had your own reasons to start smoking,but you did not realise what effects it would have in your life in the long term.

 

What are the benefits of stopping?

There are many benefits of stopping smoking, but if you are considering becoming a non smoker, then you must have your own valid reasons for stopping. It would be no use to you if you are told to stop smoking and end up seeing me to help you as it would be a waste of yours and my time. The decision must be entirely yours but the reasons for you wanting to stop will be discussed at the initial consultation.

 

So how can I stop?

Like I have mentioned before, stopping smoking using hypnotherapy is easy as long as you are stopping for the right reasons, and for yourself. When you come for a consultation, your session will be tailored to your needs and is based on the information you have given. All I ask is that you be honest with me which forms your commitment to become a non smoker which makes the session be successful.


Hypnotherapy has been proven as one of the most successful means to stop you from smoking so you become a non smoker as opposed to being an ex-smoker. I use several methods to help you and will provide you with support for 3 months after if you need it. Hypnotherapy will basically reprogram the part of you which reminds you to smoke, and it will be given a new role to help you benefit from being a non smoker which makes it easy for you to stay as a non smoker.

 

How much does it cost?

You will only need one session of hypnotherapy for stopping smoking which takes approximately 2 hours. You will be given a subliminal CD at the end of the session and will be taught techniques to help you adjust to your new role. Smoking involves physical actions which need to be addressed too! The total cost of a stop smoking session is £170 which can be payable in instalments should you prefer. The majority of the fee must be paid before commencement of the session.This is to ensure your total commitment to becoming a non smoker.


This is less than a month’s worth of cigarettes so rather dwell on how much a session costs, think about what you could spend the money you have saved once you become a non smoker!
